Who We Are

Master Plan
Centralia First Christian

OUR VISION

To build a growing church of worshippers in our area who are daily surrendering their lives to Jesus Christ, sharing with others their life in Jesus Christ, and serving others in the power of Jesus Christ.

“…that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.”  Colossians 1: 9-12

OUR MISSION
The command of first Christian Church of Centralia is given by Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20) We will go into our world and make fully devoted followers of Christ, baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey all that He has commanded. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

OUR MESSAGE

1 Peter 1:3-9
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
"

Everything we are about as a community of believers at CFCC is from God.  All of our love, motivation, strength, and wisdom as faithful believers arrives through faith in the love, forgiveness, and grace that appeared in and through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross and in His resurrection.
Our birth into a living hope, our obtaining an everlasting inheritance when we die, and the receiving of the gift of salvation for our souls, begins when we choose to believe all that has been testified to by witnesses concerning the work and message of Jesus Christ.
It is in this faith that we know a constant hope in our future.  It is in this hope that our faith finds resolve to endure trials.  And it is in these trials that our faith is made more sure so that we may receive the goal of our faith, the salvation of our souls.
With this constant faith in things that we cannot see, yet we know exist because of what has been testified to in history, we express a constant love for God and for others.  It is from this eternal perspective that we cannot contain the joy we have in Christ Jesus.

Biblical Principles for Ministry

  1. We will go into our world and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey all the commands of Christ.
  2. We will raise believers to be full time worshippers of God.
  3. We will build a community of people who show love for one another.

Our Ministry Philosophy
We are seeking worshippers who will worship God in Spirit and in Truth.  To do that, we will engage our neighbors in love, communicating the message of the gospel in a bold yet timely way in order to make disciples for Jesus Christ wherever we live and work.

Our Structure/Process
Ministries will be built around qualified leaders.  They will demonstrate active membership to CFCC, active service, a deepening relationship with Christ evidenced by the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and a growing knowledge of God’s word.

Our People Focus
We will provide excellent ministry opportunities for all ages.  We will be proactive in ministering to young families, to the poor, to the outcast, and to those caught in self-destructive patterns.

Leadership
We will develop spiritually qualified leadership in each ministry to create an environment of accountability and spiritual growth for every believer.

Giftings
We will recruit and develop the gifts and callings of individuals for the purpose of fulfilling the ministry God has given our church.
