Mission Vision
THE VISION
FOR DOMESTIC AND CROSS-CULTURAL MISSIONS
CENTRALIA FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH
Our church will build a mission organization that will:
- Promote the planting of new churches in foreign fields
- Enlist new mission workers
- Assist in the training of mission workers
- Create a compassion for missions in our people
- Encourage the next generation into mission work.
Isaiah 52:7
How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation and says to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
Col. 1:19-20
For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
- Promote would include beginning or assisting organizations in church planting.
- Enlisting is all about recruitment.
- Assisting is the educational part and short-term mission trips.
- Creating a compassion is all about how we promote and raise funds.
- Encouraging the next generation could include foreign exchangestudents, bringing missionaries into Sunday School classes or having our children raise funds and write letters to our missionaries.
The Matrix of our Missions Department
Our missions’ ministry has a dual focus. Our first focus is on those works whose primary directive is Evangelism, Church planting, and Disciple making.
We support:
- Pleasant Valley Christian
- Network Ministries of Tacoma
- John Gabriel in Kerala, India
- Jon Wilson in Mexico
- Christians’ Haven Inc – Philippine Islands
Our second focus is on those works whose primary directive is to provide for Basic Human Needs.
