I was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, and graduated from Tacoma Baptist High School. My plan after high school was to attend Washington State University where I wanted to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. God, however, had other plans! A good friend suggested that I attend Boise Bible College for one year and well… you can see how the rest of the story goes. At Boise Bible College I met my beautiful wife of 14 years and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts-Ministerial and Minors in Greek and Youth Ministry. My wife and I spent 13 years pastoring in various churches in Southern Oregon, during which two fantastic and enthusiastic daughters entered into our lives. God has truly blessed us every step of the way, and our most recent blessing is how He has guided us to our amazing church family here in Centralia, Washington. Aside from spending time with my family, I enjoy reading, riding my motorcycle, hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing my guitar. I have also spent time as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. However, what I truly enjoy most is seeing people come into contact with Jesus Christ, where experiencing a real relationship with Him results in a real life transformation that was never thought possible.
I grew up in Clark Fork, Idaho, which is a small town of 450 people in North Idaho near the Montana border. My home church is in Sandpoint, Idaho where I discovered my faith and learned about God’s blessings through youth group, small groups, and mentoring. I attended Boise Bible College where in 2012 I earned my Associates Degree, and in 2014 I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education. During my time at Boise Bible College, I met my wife Danielle and we just celebrated three wonderful years of marriage! After graduation, I spent time working in Southern Idaho and Olympia serving as a Youth and Children’s Pastor. I believe one of the keys to a strong and healthy church are strong families. I am very passionate about the Gospel Message and equipping families to have those same great conversations at home. I am a craft coffee connoisseur which means I enjoy all things coffee related. My other hobbies include cycling, grilling, reading, and going to Mariner’s games. During weekends in the fall, you can find me watching Boise State Football and the Denver Broncos! My life verse is Romans 12:1-2.

Rachel Frankovich – Women’s Ministry Coordinator
I am a born and raised Southern. I grew up in Decatur, Alabama, the oldest of 3 girls. We were raised going to church every time the doors were open and I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior as a child and have been doing my best to follow His leading ever since. Many people wonder how I made it all the way out here from Alabama and the short answer is I fell in LOVE. I met Dave through a college friend and found myself heading WEST very quickly. We were married in 2000 and have 3 fabulous children. We ended up here in Centralia in 2009 after Dave started his own business. Dave grew up in Chehalis and has family in the area which helped us make the decision to call Centralia home. I enjoy treasure hunting at garage sales, thrift shops and antique stores. Centralia has been a great place for this hobby. I also enjoy pinterest and all things crafty. Since making Centralia our home, I have been very involved in the schools in our area and enjoy working part time for the Centralia School District. With 3 busy kids my life can be pretty hectic. Despite the chaos of life and feelings of self-doubt, I felt God calling me to work with the women of our church. I answered that call and have served at Centralia Christian as the Women’s Ministry Coordinator since 2011. God has stretched me and often pushes me way out of my comfort zone but, I really do enjoy it! I have a passion to see the women of our church grow together as a support network for each other and to see them grow in their own personal relationship with Christ.
Leon Basey has lived in the Chehalis/Centralia area for 18 years and has served the church as an elder for 17 years. He and his wife Ann have four children and 8 grandchildren. He works as a service manager in a John Deere dealership. His favorite aspect of our church is the commitment we have to meeting one another’s needs through small groups. This is why he enjoys teaching Sunday School and leading a Bible study in their home on Wednesday evenings.
Chris Gillaspie has been involved with Centralia Christian Church for about 34 years. He has been married to his wife Jodi for almost 24 years. They have blessed with 2 wonderful children. Chris leads worship at Centralia Christian and has been serving as an elder for about 4 years.
Matt Patten has lived in the Lewis County area since 2002. He married his wife, Paige a life-long Lewis County resident in 2007. He has been serving at Centralia First Christian in various roles for the past 13 years, teaching Sunday school and providing other leadership. He is a graduate of Puget Sound Christian College, and Western Oregon University. His primary focus at church is bringing the bible to life in a real and practical way. Helping others understand the bible more clearly, and learning to love it as much as he does.
Dan Weeks – I serve in the church as one of the Elders, Sunday school teacher and help out where I can. I live in the Rochester area with my wife Mary, daughter Breanna, and son Thomas. I work for the Department of Health as a Financial Systems Manager. I believe in being a student for life and enjoy learning about a wide variety of topics.
Kim Wagoner – I was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and lived there 51 years. I worked for a company in Phoenix that is a manufacturer of PVC plastic pipe. The company built a new plant in Chehalis, Washington, and I was offered the job of Maintenance Manager. I accepted the job and we moved to Onalaska. I live there now with my beautiful wife and three of our youngest children. Our two oldest children have made a proud Grandfather out of me four times. Our son, Jesse, has made us proud by serving his country in the Army. The move to Washington was an answer to our prayers to get us out of the big city. My family and I started going to Centralia First Christian Church because we really liked the children’s program. I now love the people and the way they love each other. I have grown fond of them and I look forward to our time of fellowship each Sunday. I enjoy helping others and showing them that they are loved by Christ. As a Deacon I will gladly serve and do what is needed by God’s great strength and love.
